Since we operate small charter boats with only one group per time slot to ensure the best experience for each guest, if you’re certain you cannot attend, please let us know one week in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Fishing Tour Q&A

Q1 Can we go snorkeling as well as fishing on the tour?
APlease book the activities separately, for example fishing in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon.

Q2 Is there a cooler on the boat?
AYes! We have coolers onboard to keep your catch fresh. At the end of your tour, we’ll pack your fish with ice in bags for you to take home. We also have a separate cooler for drinks so you can enjoy cold beverages throughout the trip.

Q3 What can I do with the fish I catch?
AYou can take your catch to local Ishigaki restaurants where they’ll cook it fresh for you! We don’t have partnered restaurants, so please make your own reservations.

Q4 What kind of fish can I catch?
ASabiki fishing (small bait rig): Gurukun (banana fish), Hira Gurukun
Live-bait fishing: Akajin (coral trout), Nagajuu Miibai (longtail grouper)
Float fishing: Ojisan (goatfish), Kawahagi (filefish), Kitsuneuo (foxface fish)Choose the fishing method that matches your interest and experience level! Sunset fishing tours use float fishing only.
