  • Q1 Can we go snorkeling as well as fishing on the tour?
    A

    Please book the activities separately, for example fishing in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon.

  • Q2 Is there a cooler on the boat?
    A

    Yes! We have coolers onboard to keep your catch fresh. At the end of your tour, we’ll pack your fish with ice in bags for you to take home. We also have a separate cooler for drinks so you can enjoy cold beverages throughout the trip.

  • Q3 What can I do with the fish I catch?
    A

    You can take your catch to local Ishigaki restaurants where they’ll cook it fresh for you! We don’t have partnered restaurants, so please make your own reservations.

  • Q4 What kind of fish can I catch?
    A

    Sabiki fishing (small bait rig): Gurukun (banana fish), Hira Gurukun
    Live-bait fishing: Akajin (coral trout), Nagajuu Miibai (longtail grouper)
    Float fishing: Ojisan (goatfish), Kawahagi (filefish), Kitsuneuo (foxface fish)

    Choose the fishing method that matches your interest and experience level! Sunset fishing tours use float fishing only.

    A

    Absolutely! All participants wear life jackets and our guide swims alongside you throughout the experience. Non-swimmers can enjoy snorkeling with complete confidence.

  • Q2 Is an underwater camera provided?
    A

    Yes! You can borrow an underwater camera for free on our snorkeling tour.Photograph beautiful coral and tropical fish – all photos will be sent via LINE after your adventure.

Q1 What should I bring?
A

Recommended items: Water, hat, sunscreen, etc.

All fishing gear is provided free of charge. Just wear clothes and sandals that can get wet!

Q2 How much water should I bring?
A

We recommend at least 1 liter per person. The sun is intense on the water, so salt tablets or sports drinks are also recommended to prevent heat exhaustion.

Q3 I'm a complete beginner. Is that okay?
A

Absolutely! Over 60% of our guests are first-time anglers. Our experienced crew provides patient instruction, and we have child-sized equipment available for family fun.

Q4 Are all tours private?
A

Yes! MIYAGI MARINE offers exclusively private charters. Enjoy your experience with just your family or friends—no other guests on board, giving you complete flexibility.

Q5 Do you offer full-day tours?
A

Yes! Mix and match your favorite activities for a full day of adventure.

Popular combinations: Morning fishing + Afternoon snorkeling, and more!

Scheduling options:

  1. Split day: 8:00–11:00 → lunch break on land → 13:00–16:00
  2. Continuous: 8:00–14:00 non-stop (back-to-back 3-hour experiences)

Since we’re completely private, schedule and activities are totally flexible. Just let us know what you’d like!

Q6 How long is the boat ride?
A

Approximately 10–30 minutes depending on daily weather and sea conditions. We’ll take you to the best spots available.

Q7 Can I bring children?
A

Absolutely! Children 5 years and older are welcome, and we have kid-sized equipment ready for family adventures.

Q8 Can pregnant guests participate?
A

For safety reasons, we kindly ask pregnant guests not to join the tour, as the boat may be slippery and bumpy.

Q9 What's your cancellation policy?
A

No cancellation fees except for same-day cancellations.

Since we accommodate only one group per time slot, we’d greatly appreciate at least one week’s notice if you need to cancel.

Q10 Do you offer hotel pick-up?
A

Yes! We provide free hotel pick-up within the central area from Fusaki Resort to ANA InterContinental Resort.

Q11 Can I get in the pick-up vehicle while wet?
A

Of course! Our vehicles have waterproof seat covers, so you can board even when wet from your ocean adventure.

Q12 Is parking available at the meeting point?
A

Yes! Free parking is available for guests driving themselves.

Q13 Can I store my luggage somewhere?
A

Large items like suitcases can be stored in our vehicle, but since the meeting point is an open fishing port, we recommend storing luggage at your hotel beforehand. Please note we cannot store valuables for security reasons.

Q14 Are shower facilities available?
A

There are no showers at the fishing port, but we can take you to nearby facilities if you’d like to freshen up.

Q15 I'm worried about getting seasick.
A

We’ll navigate to the calmest waters based on daily weather and sea conditions.

To help prevent seasickness:

  1. Avoid heavy drinking the night before
  2. Take motion sickness medication 30 minutes before departure if you’re concerned
  3. Don’t go out on an empty or overly full stomach
Q16 Is there shade on the boat?
A

Yes, there’s a sunshade at the stern. It provides comfortable space for about 2 people to relax and escape the sun.

Q17 Is there a changing area on the boat?
A

No, the boat doesn’t have restroom or changing facilities. Please come dressed in clothes that can get wet.

Q18 Can I participate even if it's raining?
A

Yes, tours operate rain or shine, except during extreme weather like typhoons. However, for your safety, we may cancel tours due to strong winds, high waves, or other unsafe conditions. Even on sunny days, tours may be canceled if we determine conditions are unsafe. In case of cancellation, we’ll contact you immediately and provide a full refund.

Q19 Can I reschedule if the weather looks bad?
A

We’re sorry, but we don’t offer rescheduling due to weather conditions. Thank you for your understanding.
